At Jewish Hospital, where medical history is in the making, our address
now commemorates a medical pioneer, Abraham Flexner, Ph.D. Dr. Flexner
revolutionized medical education with his book Medical
Education in the United States and Canada, published in 1910. The
University of Louisville was among the many schools that embraced his
call for reforms, fueling later medical breakthroughs.
Through the years, expansion of the Jewish Hospital Medical Campus centered
on the street named in his honor, Abraham Flexner Way. We are now proud
to make it our official address.
